Hi Friends…..As we all knew about Hanuman is
a Hindu God, who was an ardent devotee of Sh.Rama according to the Hindu legends.
He is a central character in the Indian epic Ramayana.So today we will share
about Hanuman Jayanti or Hanumath Jayanti which is celebrated every year to
commemorate the birth of Hindu Lord Hanuman, the Vanara god, widely venerated
throughout India. Basically it is
celebrated on the 15th day of the Shukla Paksha, during the month of Chaitra (the Chaitra Pournimaa). it’s one of the
very important festivals in India. A large number of Hanuman devotees flock to
Hanuman temple in the morning on this day to pay their homage to Lord Hanuman. Hanuman
ji is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
He is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. Lord Hanuman is usually known for his
unwavering devotion to the Lord Rama. Due to his unconditional devotion towards
Lord Rama, he is popularly known as ‘Ramduta’, also mentioned in the Hanuman
Chalisa – रामदूत अतुलित बलधामा, अंजनिपुत्र पवनसुतनामा. -He is considered to be as one of the most powerful
Hindu gods in India. According to Hindu mythology, as the son of 'Pawan', the
God of Winds and 'Anjanee' often referred to as 'Pawanputra,' is blessed with immense physical and mental strength
that is greatly inspiring.

In Maharashtra, Saturday is considered to be the day of Shri Hanuman
while in rest of India (Bhaarat) both Tuesday and Wednesday are considered to
be His days. There is a custom of offering Sindoor
and oil to Shri Hanuman on these days. Breaking a coconut in front of Shri Hanuman also appears to be an age old
custom. For spiritual progress, Shri Hanuman with His face to the left
(Vaammukhi Hanuman) or Shri Hanuman with an attitude of service (Daas Hanuman)
is worshipped. Hanuman
Jayanti celebration indicates the balanced coexistence of the whole human
fraternity with the nature’s incredible creature, Lord Hanuman from Vanara
community. People from the Hindu religion worship Lord Hanuman as a divine
creature. This celebration has lots of importance to all however Brahmacharis, wrestlers and
bodybuilders are specially inclined towards this celebration. There are many
names through which Lord Hanuman is famous among his devotees like
Bajrangabali, Pavanasuta, Pavankumar, Mahavira, Balibima, Marutsuta, Anjanisut,
Sankat Mochan, Anjaneya, Maruti, Rudra and many more.
